Welcome to the sales-page of Kathleen Bryson
Kathleen (please do not call her 'Kath') is a startling new erbacce poet
who is quite unlike any other... her style is... ahem; different.
Her erbacce collection, Luciferin, (perfect-bound, 126pp) is a 50-poem
collision of evolutionary science, animals, sex, childhood,
grief, extinction and outer space – fragmented, darkly comic,
sometimes tender and frequently strange.
Kathleen Bryson is an Alaskan-born evolutionary anthropologist and
EU virtual reality research fellow, with previous posts at Oxford and QMUL.
She is the author of three published novels:
Mush (Diva Books, 2001), The Stagtress (Fugue State Press, 2019)
Girl on a Stick (Suspect Thoughts Press/She Devil, 2008)
and with a fourth, Schrödinger’s Ape, forthcoming from Black Spring Press in 2027,
as well as nonfiction books on evolution and AI.
More than 100 of her poems have been published or accepted for publication, with work appearing in
Magma, Star*Line, Always Crashing, Ranger, Consilience and BlazeVOX.
Luciferin is her first full length, perfect bound, poetry collection.
