Tamara was the outright winner of the 2020 erbacce-prize for poetry when there was a truly staggering 12,000 submissions!

Tamara Fulcher grew up in Kent before moving to Edinburgh, Scotland to take a degree in Ancient History. She has been writing as long as she can recall, and her poetry in particular grew out of her joystruck awe of language; both the wilderness avenues of its evolution, and the power it has to leave even its creator exhausted or exhilarated by its creation.

Fulcher’s work has been published in UK and international periodicals including Chapman, Tears in the Fence, Neue Rundschau, Other Poetry, The Red Wheelbarrow, Iota, Poetry Review and erbacce. She was awarded the Poetry Society’s Geoffrey Dearmer Prize in 2006 for the poem ‘Choirsinger’ and her first collection, The Recreation of Night , was published by Shearsman Books in 2008.
